The Calhoun County Exceptional Program provides special education and related services so that all children with disabilities can develop into productive citizens.
These services are provided through a continuum of educational environments from regular class placement to full dau programs in specialized environments.
We serve students with disabilities from three through 21 years of age under the Individuals with Disabilities Act if the student meets the requirements in any of the following areas: autism, deaf/blind, deaf/hard of hearing, emotional/behavior disorder, intellectual disability (mild, moderate, severe, profound), orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, significant development delay, specific learning disability, speech/language impairment, traumatic brain injury, and visual impairment.
For more information contact the Special Education Department or the school counselors at (229) 835-2908.
